So I've read the nub sticks, tutorials, etc... I would like some one with some experience to verify i'm doing this right before i go blowing up my box. I got the C4EVA_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_4_Stealth download and ready to roll

My box was previously hacked by a friend and is hitachi, so putting into mode B is easy enough (the open drive pull power method)


1. Once in mode B connect SATA cable to PC, boot up PC, repeatedly opening/closing drive at load screen. (having the box and PC grounded together to prevent a short)
2. verify drive is detected in device manager and find drive letter in "my computer"
3. put X-LG folder on C and run the restore.bat entering, drive letter
4. run flash24s, drive letter, and some random 4 numbers
5. shutdown PC, shutdown Xbox, disconnect cables, put everything where it belongs, have fun.


my drive isn't a 78 or 79 and i know my motherboard sata might not be compatible so i might have to buy a chipset, but do i have the process basically down? I plan on modding other drives in the future, but i want to make sure i got the easy drive down before moving to the harder ones
