does this site stand up for playing copied games on xbox 360? Is this site standing up to piracy?
I'm asking 'cuz I see plenty people talking about hacking xbox360 consoles (and they don't do it just for fun...) they do it to play copied games...
So... Is it ok for this site to talk about copied games and piracy..? or just cracking and hacking xbox360's?![]()

Too many people can't get the difference between asking how to burn a backup they MADE -vs- asking how to make a backup of an image they DOWNLOADED. The DOWNLOADED part is the site rule violation. The thing is, people are not stupid (I am not stupid). If you can't make a backup of a game you just made an IMAGE of, then how did you even get the brains to make the IMAGE in the first place? Once the image is made, specifically, then burning it is quite simple. So, how can you ask how to BURN a game, you claim you made an IMAGe of? That doesn't make sense. You got to be smart when asking, just blatantly saying "I downloaded this game, how to I burn it?" OR, how to I RENT and COPY games; OR, I borrowed so and so game, how to I copy it, and so on. Asking where to download, or providing links TO ISO files and game downloads, is also a site rule violation.
This site is in Canada, their rules and regulations are different. However, the OWNER has placed specific guidelines in the RULES, the ISO RULE section, I simply enforce it. Everyone is supposed to abide by the DMCA, which is just another FORCED law on the people of the Earth. In any case, morally, STEALING is unethical, period. How would you feel if you have three cars, all the same car, but someone comes along and steals one? Are you going to chalk one up to piracy? Piracy is not a term reserved for the video game or audio/video industry; Piracy in itself is stealing property from someone, and making it your own, by force. It has been perverted into this specific industry, why? Dunno, because no one is letting their games be copied at gun or knife point (that I know of). It is not technically PIRATING anything, the original still exists, you did not steal it and make it your own. You have a COPY of it, which is a duplicate, of the original. When modern day pirates board a cruise ship, they aren't making copies of people's wealth, they are STEALING it; Right?
If you read the site rules (that you agreed to, to gain access to the forum), and saw the ISO RULE section, I can't see the dilemma YOU are having.. Talk is fine, as it says, read the whole thing.
I have always been taught that what is yours is yours, and what is theirs, is THEIRS, and you have no right to take it.
Say you are a car salesman; you have 100 Corvettes, all red, all the same. You sell ONE, 99 people steal the other 99 of them. You just lost your ass, didn't you? I know, it's not exactly the same, it is tangible property you just lost, however, it still effects you the same way. So, go this route: Say you're in a band, you guys cut a CD, you got 100 CDs to sell. You sell ten CDs at 10.00 each, then find out 150 people have your CD, and 100 more overseas too; so how did that happen? That would infuriate you, right? You lost 2500 bucks to piracy...
Even though M$ and SONY are huge companies, they are in it for one reason, MONEY. People think that just because they are billionaires, they can afford to lose millions on piracy. And sure, even with the Piracy that goes on, they still make money. Which proves again (be it taxes or whatever), the top 10% rich, and wealthy people in this country, are the ones that bear the burden of keeping things going, so everyone can live. They buy enough for the MFRs to keep making for it, while the other people copy everything. They pay enough in taxes so you and I can get full refunds every year... It's a viscous system, but I had nothing to do with it, but will take advantage of it.
I do not pirate GAMES, I buy them. If you can't afford the games, you should NOT buy the console. That's like buying a personal jet, but can't afford to fuel it...

It's ok to TALK about piracy, depending on the discussion, but it's not ok to discuss taking part in or condoning, or assisting in the act of software piracy. It damages the games publishers (again, debatable) and is against the law. I'm sure that a few people who use this site do partake in this area, that will always be the case, but they don't advertise the fact.

I edited that a few times, you might want to read it again...
You can tell someone how to make a BACKUP. You can't sell someone: Download it HERE (with a link), then tell how to make the backup.
There are tutorials here on how to make backups, but what it doesn't include is:
1. Download The Image
2. Borrow Game Disc From Friend/Family
3. Rent from so-and-so and make image
4. Buy from store, copy, and resell to someone else.
5. Here, I will send you this image...
The tutorials don't care HOW you obtained the image, and doesn't NEED to know where you got it, and YOU, don't have any obligation to explain WHERE or HOW you got it, we don't care, just follow the directions.
If you ask, I downloaded a game from, HERE, how to I copy it? The post gets deleted, you get warned.
If you ask, How do I make backups? Then you are pointed towards a tutorial that explains it.
If you ask, I have an original, how to I make a backup? If you don't have the original, what do we care, at least you have the brains to cover up your intentions... You would start where you NEED to, with the material you have.
I have had people come here and post links to torrents, thats just plain old ignorant...

ehm... ok... I think I understood... so let's try with a question... what if.. a friend of mine had a hacked x-360....and he'd also have plenty of backed up games...(and when I say plenty.. I mean a lot..) and very few originals...(he mostly uses the backups.. cuz he has this weird addiction of collecting games and not removing them from their cases...I dunno maybe he plans to sell them at high prices later in the future...So he's playing with the backup's (pirated games)instead with the originals...weird I know..!).
Now, he wants to connect to x-live, to download some 2D scrolling games (but still 3D games)...he has plenty of G points but those points are basically from the "backed up" games...
the questions are:
1:Is it going to be availiable for M$ to Ban him during the download?
2:Can he use the G's he's got from the "backed up" games to get those games?
3:Since his "bucked up" game record is kinda huge... could M$ do anything more.. than to just ban his console? (cuz M$ won't be aware of his nerdy/weird like collection of unopend and unused original games...)

You are NEVER safe when you connect to live, read the MAIN MENU section of the forum, it is in the first 6-8 paragraphs.
They only ban the CONSOLE, not the Gamer Account.
They don't care why you use a backup/copy, in their eyes, it is 100% illegal, and if they nail you, that's too bad.

ok gr8! But you can still use the Gamepoints (the G's you get for every achievement you aquire!) from the backed up games to purchase online additional games from X-Live's website... right?

Yes, It makes no diference whether the game points were earned with original games or backup games, the points are the same regardless, you just run the risk of a ban if you use "Backup" games on a modded console, or probably original games on a modded console. It's the modded console they have the problem with.
