Nothing you or anyone else can do, it has t be sent back.  Since you voided the warranty by taking it apart, then you'll have to pay.   You don't need a reciept for the 3-Year E74 error warranty, it will go by the MFR date on the unit of you do not have it.  You can always TRY and send it back for repair, the worst they so is sent it back NOT repaired for voiding the seal.

If you have seen a U-Tube E74 repair, then do it, why ask then say you saw one, and does it HAVE to be sent back?  If you already have an idea on what you WANT to do, then just take 'er apart and do it.  You can only get lucky and fix it, or make it worse...

The cost, will be $125.00 no matter what its wrong with it, IF they do not fix it under warranty.  For $199.99 you can buy a new Arcade system, and use your HDD.  I can get 20GB premiums on-line, for 150.00, sometimes, on those deal of the day sites.    You could get some money for yours, BROKE, on Ebay, at least $50.00, plus the $125.00 you are going to pay (possibly) for a repair?  Not worth it IMO...  If your DVD drive works, you can sell that separately, then sell the PSU, sell the unit...  I bet you can get almost $100.00 for yours BROKE as parts.  Keep your HDD, and controllers, buy a new one, sell off the OLD parts:

1. DVD Drive
2. PSU
3. A/V Cable
4. Console as E74

There's no doubt, with the parts from the old one, plus the 125.00 for repair; you'll have enough to buy a NEW Arcade Edition...  I got $15.00 for a broken Xb360 DVD drive dude, people buy anything...

If the warranty sticker is GONE, then you may as well include a $125.00 check.   That is the first thing you see when you take the face plate off.

As I said man, SELL IT for parts, and buy a new Arcade edition, keep your HDD.    The Arcades even come with a wireless controller.  ALSO?  I just saw re-certified XB360 premiums (20GB) for $150.00, with 90 day warranties.  I use http://www.dodtracker.com/deals/ every day looking for stuff, AND, buy deals at least 4 times a month.

If it were me, no I would not send ti back, I would sell all these separately:

1. DVD Drive - $30.00
2. Face Plate - $5.00
3. Shell - $15.00
4. Mainboard - $50.00
5. Power Supply - $40.00
6. A/V Cable - $5.00

You're looking at $145.00 (gibe or take $10.00) in parts, that's keeping your HDD and Controller(s).  If you throw in your HDD?  $30.00 more, maybe...  They are making it so that $125.00 is not worth it, when you can buy refurbs or recertifications for $150.00!

Then you look on-line for another one, buy it, then sell the 20Gb HDD from that one, for some little extra cash.

I bought a broken Xbox for $30.00 (Console, PSU, A/V Cable, 20GB HDD with all content), got lucky.  The DVD drive was bad (no spin).  So, I bought another Hitachi 47D DVD drive from Ebay for $30.00, and the $6.00 tool to take the XB apart.  So, we're at 66.00 for a working Xbox360.  After I swapped the logic boards in the DVD drive? I sold the BROKEN one on Ebay for $15.00, thus netting me an Xbox360 for $46.00.

Ok so after pulling the bugger apart, cooking the motherboard (i used a hairdryer for 6 mins on each side) adding some silver thermal paste and finally rebuilding it again IT LIVES!!!!!!!!!! ITS ALIVE!!!!! MUHAWHAWHAWHAW

Anyways if anyone else has the E74 and wants to try to fix it for themselves, GO AHEAD!! its fairly simple dispite what has been said here although im sure ill be told i did it wrong or something

saved a ton of money on not buying a new one good luck ppl!
