Repair of E74

Lo all,

So i recently had the E74 error on my Falcon HDMI xbox 360. Ive removed the sticker so ive voided the warranty.

I want to attempt a repair my self as im good with electronics and such and thought why the hell not, it cant get worse! so please i ask you, are there guides for repairing e74 errors? ive read it could be the heatsinks, thermal paste, solder or HANA chips.

Are these easy to get replacements off ebay or whereever? and links to guides if you have them please!

Thanks in advanced!

What is the deal here, you already have a thread on this!!!
http://www.xbox360-hacks.com/forums/vie … hp?id=5720

That's only TWO DAYS old since the last reply, why did you start a WHOLE new thread for no reason?

All you can do is try and reflow the solder, that's IT!  If you LOOK at any pictures of the motherboard, you'll SEE there is no heatsink or thermal paste on it, NOTHING.  Seriously, you need to LOOK at stuff before you ask what you want to do.  Then again, you have already taken it apart, and should know that, right?  There is no warranty sticker, so SOMEONE took it apart...

Should I DELETE your old thread then?

Oh, and you CAN make it worse...

I don't know what else to tell you, you should SELL the parts and buy an arcade unit.

Re: Repair of E74

Jesus christ you are everywhere!

The reason i made another thread is becuase i want help 'repairing my xbox' hence repair section. Also if i replied to my last thread you would be the only one to really look at it and not that i dont appreciate your help, i really do, youre only gonna tell me again to sell it in parts on ebay (which i hate selling crap on ebay) and buy an arcade (which they announced some time ago they would stop selling)

Please dont get soo hostile im only looking for knowledge, like i said your only gonna tell me to sell it, but i really want to attempt to repair it and save a ton!

So if anyone including yourself could be so kind and possibly point me towards a guide or two on how to fix an e74 for a falcon hdmi 360 i would be pretty grateful...

Yes you are everywhere !  But you keep treating ppl like you do and you won't have a forum to be king of. Why do you want to run ppl off?

Anyways if anyone else has the E74 and wants to try to fix it for themselves, GO AHEAD!! its fairly simple dispite what has been said here although im sure ill be told i did it wrong or something tongue

saved a ton of money on not buying a new one tongue good luck ppl!
