Like at the store can you tell by serial number or anything which drive is in there?
Or do you only know after you buy it and look inside?

It is NOT the 360 itself that is hard or easy to hack, it is the DVD DRIVE!

Yeah I went to the link I seen all kinds of info on flashing different drives. I don't know why someone can't ask a ? in here without getting an answer instead of a forum why don't you just post a shit load of links so you don't have to be bothered. Your link did not help unless i need to read every word of all theses links if so thats my fault I thought a forum was get answers quickly. Sorry I took up tour time!

Oh, sorry, I see you want to identify the drive with an UNOPENED unit? Then no, there is no way, but you can use DEDUCTIVE REASONING, knowing which drive is currently used in Xbox360, to figure it out. If you want to know what drive is in it after you opened it? The tutorials show you...
Currently they are using the LiteOn drive. One requires hardware, one does not, and you won't know that till you open the case and look inside...

the only "hard" drive to hack is the stupid lite-on that requires you to have a stuipd 50 dolla key extractor
so any early lite-on's avoid
the new ones 83---c lite-ons are easy as well and dont need that probe ck3 shit
so anyways
