E73 Ethernet error
Just sent my elite off to M$ for repair, it has the E73 error and overheating it just aint working anymore. Claiming an intermitent 3rlod error (it DID happen once, so technically it IS intermitent). I've seen in forums people doing this and a guy at work did it and they get them back repaired, so, fingers crossed!!
When the need arises, anything and everything becomes a hammer!

They cover 3LOD and E74. You can always buy their WiFi adapter and use that, if you have a Wireless Router.

That wouldn't help, the xbox does not boot up when you have the e73 fault, you imediately get a black screen with contact m$ support in about 10 diferent languages and E73 at the bottom of the screen, just like the e74 error. It is a common fault caused by dry(cold) joints and they SHOULD cover it as they do with the other two faults as it IS a manufacturing fault. There is nothing actually wrong with the ethernet side of things, as overheating it temporarily cures the problem. I will be no worse off if they don't repair it though. Like I said, fingers crossed.
Oddly, I have now recieved two emails from m$, the first telling me that they have recieved somebody elses xbox at the service centre, the ID number does not match my ID number, and the wrong name, and I have also recieved an email with the correct details for myself!! dimwits!!
