Help, VPN Proxy with bridging
Hello,
I would like to set up a network, where i put a PC in front line, where i install a Proxy or VPN (unfortunatly i d o not know which would be best). Then i would like to connect another internet machine behind : XBOX360 so that i can pretend i was in the US f.ex.
Why?
Because I m living in europe, and several addons for Games for Xbox360 are not downloadable from where i live (+18 censured by the country). I would like to get those addons, and need therefor trick Xbox and pretend to be in the US.
My Hardware:
Mac Pro - also Windows on Bootcamp
Macbook - also Windows on Parallels
AVM Fritz.Box 7170 is my router
Cross cable
Xbox360
Until where i came so far:
1. Set up a bridge between Xbox and Macpro to access internet - worked
2. Set up a bridge between Macbook and Macpro as checktool - internet worked
3. Set up a VPN with itshidden.com on Macpro - worked for Macpro
I m stuck:
1.If i switch on the VPN on the MacPro, the internet still works on MAcpro, but the internet for the bridged clients does not work. If i switch it of, it works again.
Notice that I tried all this in Leopard only.
Any ideas?

Probably a little late for this reply, although I have also been in a similar situation to this with the PS3. I never managed to get the VPN to share on my iMac, so booted Windows instead.
The solution within Windows is to ensure you have an internet connection, create a VPN connection through the standard method, and enable connection sharing for the VPN connection itself. Connect to the VPN. Once shared with the ethernet card connected to the Xbox 360, it will allow access to the US Xbox LIVE Marketplace.
If you requre more detail, please alert me, and I will create a full tutorial.

Please Note
1. You cannot download videos from the video marketplace unless you are running a proxy. A proxy can fool the video marketplace into thinking you are from the USA. All you need to do is purchase a proxy server in the states.
2. You cannot transfer M$ Points onto your American SILVER ACCOUNT unless you purchase point cards directly from the United States. Credit Cards are also region locked and coded so don't bother. you would have to have friends send cards, or buy USA cards from Ebay! Easy!
What you need
- PC with Internet Access
- Xbox 360
Let's Get Started
1.Go to www.xbox.com with your browser and signup for a new XBOX LIVE SILVER account. When filling in the form you must choose USA (United States) as your Country or origin.
Be sure to make your new GamerTag something you wont forget (Duh). This way you wont forget it if you ever purchase a M$ points card for this account to get content before anyone else in your area does.
2. Once you have created and verified your new Xbox LIVE Silver account with your country set to America log on to your XBOX 360 Dashboard using your new gamertag & password.
3. When you have finally logged in you will notice a huge difference with much more DLC content then you have ever seen before. Australian Xbox LIVE users still have not seen a VIDEO MARKETPLACE at all. The only content aussies receive are game demos and trailers but they are normally released later then the USA!
4. Thats it! Go browse around and download some new content.
I found that simply by searching Yahoo, I know how HARD that is...
You have to CREATE a USA account first, you can't use your existing account through a proxy.
There is NO GUARANTEE this works anymore, and your Xbox360 can be banned if caught.
You may have to go through a Proxy if it still does not work, due to IP address checking.

Yes, Xbox LIVE does employ IP location checking. Seems to be the common way of blocking access from other regions as of late.
