Firmware Questions
My Xbox has trouble starting games up. It tells me "To play this disc, put it in an Xbox 360 Console" I am curious to find out if changing the firmware the way i saw on this sight to be able to read back up disks will fix this issue (I have come to HATE the 360 for this. You have no idea how much it sucks restarting the console 50+ time to get a game to read and i am to broke to get a new system.) Also will it affect me getting on netflix with the Xbox?
Any help would be nice...

Why are you hating the XB360 if you are using backups? It is not the 360s fault. See, if it's modded, that's TOO BAD, and that's what you have to deal with when using backups. Don't blame the XB360 because it is modded, and you don't have a clue as to what the deal is.
I got an idea, PLAY THE ORIGINAL...

Ori I haven't moded the 360 yet, And I have to restart 50+ times to play the Original........ that is why I think moding will help. I paid close to $600 dollars when i paid for it and dont want to rip it a part and frack something up. I think the mod will work but I mostly want to know if i will still be able to get on netflix via Xbox live without getting banned from live.

You can buy another DVD Drive just like yours on Ebay, open them up, SWAP logic boards, problem solved.
