I have my new australian Xbox 360 Elite in japan. My Xbox 360 power adapter is INPUT 200-240v-2.2A 47-63Hz with an OUTPUT 150W.
Japans power supply is 100W 50-60Hz.
I have read a lot about people using step down converters to use Japanese and American Xboxes in Australia but I want to do the opposite.
All the step up converters I have found range from 110v-120v input and step up to 220v which is cool but CAN YOU USE A 110V-120V INPUT IN A 100V 50-60HZ JAPANESE POWER SUPPLY??????
I would appreciate any advice, links, any help at all. I just want to play my new Xbox 360 Elite with all my games I already have. I don't intend to buy any games over here in Japan as I know they will not work.
PLEASE HELP I have had this Xbox 360 Elite for 3 weeks now sitting in a box and it is sending me mad not being able to play it.

Just to confirm before I go and buy one?
Do you mean I can just buy a Xbox 360 power supply from here in japan and it will work? Does it have to be a specific output of watts and Hz etc to suit my console? Or do I have to buy a Jasper model power supply to suit?

PSUs are FORWARD compatible, not backward, so ANY PSU up to, and including your MB version works. You just can't use a JASPER PSU, on prior versions.
If you are in JAPAN, they are not PAL, they are NTSC-J, so Hz is not an issue either.

Thanks for the advice Powerslave:D. Ijust ordered myself a 150watt Japanese power supply. It will be here in a few days.
I will be back to tell you how it went. Thanks a lot.
I just don't understand why the majority of xbox forums and microsoft sites I read they kept saying it doesn't work and you will harm your console.
Well I hope to prove them wrong in a few days.
Cheers;)
