Hey I'm wondering if someone could help me. Here's the deal, my Xbox wont accept my HDD and it even wouldn't let me format it, so I opted for buying a jumper cable to connect my HDD to my laptop. The computer recognized it and installed it successfully but the drive won't appear on my computer, i believe the driver installed by vista is the wrong one because on the device manager appears as Fujitsu MHY2120BH USB device and obviously it isn't a USB device. I was wondering is someone would tell me how to format this drive, or at least tell me the model of the HDD so i can find the driver to format it by myself the HDD has the code X812646-001.
Hope anyone can help me on this one!!![]()

You're not being specific, a JUMPER cable to connect it to the Laptop? How, with a USB cable? That is why it is shown as a USB device... Please be more specific dude... The only way you can connect it to the LAPTOP is with a USB cable... SO, yeah, USB device, and that is the correct model number.
IF you format it for the PC, you won't be able to use it in the XBOX 360 without the correct tools.
Find and DOWNLOAD the Xbox360 Xplorer, and see if THAT will see the partitions on the drive.
The only way for a PC to see it as an internal drive, would be to take it ALL apart, and connect it -via- SATA to the PC.
