Power supplies ARE FORWARD COMPATIBLE, not backward. Why are you looking at the motherboard? So it has a second heat-sink, that's good no matter what version it is. However, it is COMMON KNOWLEDGE: If you have a HDMI port, it is a falcon, if not, then it's NOT... It's that simple.

falcon or no falcon, all i know is that it's still failing hardware! just last week my Elite started giving me display issues............. actually just one issue: it doesn't display sh*t anymore on my TV - there's only sound! it's a common problem with 360s! it was purchased September '07!
by the way, i looked at the picture i posted earlier and my console has the exact same power supply socket as the Xenon/Zypher - but it's an Elite...... with HDMI + 203 watt power brick! so....... falcon? i don't think so!

ohh ok i look at my power supply and it has the xenon/zypher too with HDMI and a 203w power brick so heres a quick question, no matter what kind of xbox generation u have its only a matter of time until u get the 3rrod, and if it is what exactly is the improvement or fix on "falcons" ![]()

I was at Circuit City today, and they have your version Arcade Edition (same games & memory card) there, and it was just a Falcon, I checked. I was going to buy one, because they are only 159.99 (20% off). I instead, bought another premium with the two games (Indiana Jones & Kung-fu Panda), for 239.99 instead, and it was also just a Falcon.
They have PS3s now at 319.99 now, I will wait just a Weee bit longer, and maybe get another one of those too...
The only "fix" on the falcon is the 65nm GPU, and 80nm eDRAM. The lower power GPU is the improvement, if you call it that... The Jasper has both the GPU and CPU at 65nm process. The GPU is the root cause of the main failures for Xbox360...

This has to be the easiest way to tell the motherboard. Thanks for posting it. I know when I go to buy my next Xbox it will help me...

NO, the easiest way is on the 360 case where the serial# is, the power says 12,1A, Also the NEW power supplies won't plug into any of the previous 360s. However, the older power supplies WILL work with newer XBox 360 systems.
So your 203 Watt supply WILL work with all the 360 versions. Really though, you should not have gotten a 203 watt supply with a Falcon version system.
Before you buy the next 360, where the SERIAL# window is, you have to rip the cardboard back a little more to see the 12,1A. This is what I did at Circuit City, to see if they had ANY Jasper revisions, and none were, they were all 14,1A. SO, I got a 60GB premium for 239.99... Checked 2 arcades and 2 premiums, none were jasper.
