So, I dumped the firmware on my Samsung MS25. However, when I flashed the drive it completed bank 1, but got stuck at bank 2. I waited a little bit, but no success.
I copied the patched firmware into the tools folder and ran:
MTKFLASH w /m /sata patched.bin
It sits at
Port: 10d8, Master/Slave: a0 (or something along the lines)
and nothing happens. When I press Esc, I get a message saying that the status = 80, but that it should be 70.
The drive doesn't even eject.
1) Does it matter whether I try to flash the original firmware or the patched firmware?
2) What's the timing I should follow? When I dumped the firmware, I only waited 2 seconds or so before turning on the drive and it worked right away.
Thank You

That's why they call it BRICKING... That's all it is now, IF it is bricked...

I heart the Samsung cannot be bricked, because you are essentially bad flashing it when you update the firmware

I think there is a procedure, but it requires soldering, wires, and a switch. You'll have so search Yahoo or Goggle for the information. Xbox-Scene has it somewhere in theit forums.

don't know if you still have this problem but I got the same problem...I was using JungleFlasher....random stuck when I told it to write...I end up unplugging my other dvd drive on pc and reflash....it went through...your best is to just keep trying to flash it and it will flash through....goodluck...
