I was thinking of purchasing the XCM led shell replacement kit for my 360 but was not sure if this would get my x box live account banned. I was reading on the xbox360-hacks home page that you can get banned for replacing your fan. It also states "Any modification to the XB360 hardware " violates the TOA. Would replacing my shell with led lights cause a readable increase in power usage and have my account banned?

Not sure, as they DO sync he lights with the start-up, but not sure if they are actually monitoring the timing on it. Personally, I think that they're taking it TOO far. Piracy is one thing, but protecting your investment, that's another.

Yeah I wanted to know this too. The sites and tutorials I've seen, tell you to solder the LED wires onto the fan's power cable. Just wanted to know if this would cause an abnormal reading and ban me.

Well, adding an LED is only a small drain compared to running the fan on high all the time. Best is to use something else as power; there are plenty of points in there to get the voltage you need.
