So I bought a 360 from a friend of mine a couple of weeks ago and it's a piece of crap. It doesn't load very many games, and the games it does load don't look very good or run very fast. Objects (their textures at least) in Halo 3 get stretched from the place they're sitting at to the top left corner of the screen, it always looks as though bullets and dust are flying at you in Call of Duty 4 and WaW, and if it decides it's had too much fun, the system freezes and I have to remove power to shut the system off. I've been trying to get in contact with Microsoft about getting it fixed, but if they charge me too much to fix it, I'm just going to straight up rip it open and see what's crack-a-lackin' inside the case. Anyone have any ideas on what the problem is and how I can get it fixed if Microsoft doesn't help me out?
EDIT: It's now giving me the RROD, so I called customer support and they kept me on the line to tell me that they're gonna charge me $99 to repair it, but while I was on the line I found this page and the guy said the information on the page didn't matter, which doesn't make sense. The console was made august 26, 2007, and the official xbox website states that there is a covered warranty for the RROD that goes for three years from the date of purchase, and the console is only a year and a half old... can I call them back and say they have to fix my console?

Ah hahaha, that's probably the best answer you'll get on this thread.

Then they should honor the 3-Year 3-LOD warranty, because the console is NOT 3-years old. You need to argue with them, because that is the way it is. Without a receipt, they would have to honor the 3-Year 3LOD warranty. Speak to a supervisor.
