Email Notifications
Hi,
I think that having email notifications when new messages are received in your private inbox is a must have! don't you?
After a long time I've been a member of this site I only realized yesterday that I've had a bunch of messages in my private inbox! i was a bit surprised that no email notified me of new messages!
I think that would be a nice little add-on because I also received a lot of n00b questions from a couple of people asking for help!
PS: i had the chance to help a n00b and i was to late to bring the poor soul over to the dark side!

I thought there was an option in your profile somewhere. I looked, and didn't see it. Greg would then have to have an SMTP server added to the system, and he doesn't have that in the PunBB setup, and not sure if he even has access to the SMTP server, so...

so......... that sucks for us i guess LOL!
wait so what about the SMTP service that's enabled and notifies us of a new posts once you enable "Subscribe to the topic"?
can't this be implemented in the same way?

He doesn't have an SMTP server address in the space provided either, so there is NO email notification that I am aware of. The option is ENABLED in the setup, but all the SMTP fields are blank, for server IP, user and password.
