Arcade games
Hey! I was just wondering if anyone has any unlock codes that they got from arcade games. You download a trial game, and enter the unlock code, and you have the full game.
If we could all share them, we could all have a really cool arcade! [im sure its the same code for everyone on the games.]
What do you think?

It is not the same code for all arcade games. Even when you get the Xbox system that comes with Raced Titles, you enter the codes from the card included, they are NOT the same. When you outright BUY them from market place, you do not get a code, you just buy them. When you need the code to unlock the game from Demo, they are not the same codes either. You can try it if you want though...

I know they are not the same for ALL games but say just as an example:
Jimmy calls xbox live support and complains that his game DOOM doesn't work, it goes to trial mode no matter what he does. He sits there for a couple hours and after transfering between 3 different people, they give him the unlock code to the game. Jimmy then unlocks his game and posts the code on this forum so EVERYONE can get doom!
I know its not the same for all games or else people would already have all the games for free!
How does that sound?

They won't give you a code over the phone, ever, and if they do, once you USE it, no one else can. When you get a code on-line, it is tailored to YOUR Xbox360, which is what a DRM (digital rights management) is. Like I said, no point in asking when you can try it, right? Then you';; know the answer, because NO ONE wants to accept "NO"...
Ok, lets say this would work, and say you are not on LIVE, and you use the code; it won't update your DRMs on the server till you log in. Ok, say you give that code to someone else, and they ARE on line at the time. Theirs will be the VALID copy, yours will then revert to DEMO once you connect to live. I am not exactly sure on how this all works, but know when you get free arcade games for your Xbox? You have to be connected to live to input the code anyway, a friend of my kids gave me UNO and ROBOTRON, I used his codes, and it worked on my console from his new box. Just for the hell of it, he tried it, didn't work... I am pretty sure, that you MUST have access to the internet to redeem any codes, period.
