Stolen Xbox 360?
I recently went down to my local flea market. I saw a video game stand that had an xbox 360 with 2 games and 2 controllers for 350$. i thought it was a reasonable price and i bought it. when i set up the system i could tell it was used becasue the hard drive had alot of data, i simply formatted it though. But then i thought what if this is stolen, so i go back to the flea market to talk to the mercahnt, but he was gone. so my question is if this xbox is stolen will i get blamed for it and can it be tracked down to me? and i have no way of proving i bought except a testimonial from my frined

ok on one hand, u are dealing with stolen goods BUT like u say u didnt/dnt know
There IS a way they could trace (probably) but m$ wouldnt bother just for 1 console, i do believe there was a case where there was a truckload (litereally) of 360's nicked, TBH id say u would be safe
have u been on live with and did the old info on the HDD have a live account on it???

Ofcourse you're safe, if anyone ask just tell them the truth, you bought it from the flea market, they can't do anything to you.

yeah i doubt they can track it.. unless they know the serial number from their 360, tell the cops, the cops go to M$, and M$ tracks you down.. the possibility of something like that happening is pretty low... id say your safe.

I only heard about the Germany heist... They were caught and prosecuted.
AS far as BUYING a stolen XB360 at a flea market? Well, there is a reason people do things like that, AT a flea market, they can't really do anything. Want to know how many people I know that buy obsolete computers with XP Pro Corp installed, from the, umm, "Flea Market?" Not much anyone can do about it, so you should be ok, in fact, I don't think you have anything to worry about. If it were a constant thing, where M$ could go there and catch the guy selling it..
Also, I have never, EVER, gotten a receipt from any Flea Market purchase. Don't worry dude, you're fine...
