My suggestions is giving rep points to members that help you or create a tutorial that really helps you out
i dont know exactly what you can use the points for but i will let the admin to figure that out its there site lol
but can use points towards avatars or little symbols beside your name ????

ye thats a pretty good idea, maybe it could be for access to a certain area in the forum or sumthing i dunno lol but ye a pretty god idea
at least people will know that they are getting GOOD answers from people if they see sumthing by there name or summit

I have seen them used at a lot of places, the point/rep system, but only at Car forums. They also have a WARNING bar, with each warning the bar goes up. If you reach 100%, you're banned for a while...

I voted no because I could see nothing but bad things from this...like teaming up with some people to get someone banned of having people send you good feed back so you cant get banned by other members...we just dont have enuf people on the forum to start doing something like this

I'm thinking about an achievement system kinda like the 360's. its something that is familiar to anyone who owns a 360 and is something thats become a part of gaming for many. for me, a game isnt complete if I dont have all the achievements so its something that could be implemented on here...
I'm running it by the mods first see what they all say but if they agree, we'll see how it can be implemented as its pretty similar to your suggestion
