I have an elite 120gb drive that I would like to use as external storage. I have been able to hook the drive up to my pc via the xfer cable and it shows up in Xplorer360 but it seems as though I can only add files to partition 2. Also none of the other files that normally show up in Partition 0 or Partition 3 when the drive removed and directly connected via SATA, are showing up when connected via USB.
So how big is Partition 2? I am just wondering how much space I have to work with in that partition. Obviously I could use Partitions 0 and 3 but then I would have to remove the drive from the casing and hook it up via SATA every time I want to access the data. It's much easier just using the xfer cable.

Short answer = NO
Why = It is not a standard FAT32 file system, and it is not NTFS at all. That is why you need that XPLORER360 program to even look at it with a PC, so that should have been your first clue as to why it's a NO... You would have to reformat the drive with the PC, this making it unusable by the XB360.
