thanks power but i figured it out and learn a few things aswell

ok i have been trying to figure this out and have been all over the internet and as simple as it was i couldn't find any thing that was complete and made since to me . so i wrote the steps that i used to get the job done thanks tpepsiman for the explorer info i added it hope you don't mind  OCD:smoke: FTW

BACKUP YOUR EEPROM

  if you have installed a smartxx v.3 modchip this will help you connect to pc and flash and back up files [/color]

1.    PC SmartXX Remote Flasher  (PC-Software) located here

Download and install
This will allow you to connect to your Xbox smartxx modchip flash/backup files through your router
Connect Xbox with Ethernet cable to your router no need for crossover cable
Download and install remote flasher to pc.

When download finish place some where you can find it we will need it in a second I place all files I
Need to find on my desktop so if you like save to desktop at this time you can unzip file you just download
Using winrar /winace or a program that will unzip, once unzip drag the ed@chip bin file to desktop
Or leave just remember where it is located

3.    Run smartxx remote flasher
Make sure Xbox is connected to router and powered on when you start the remote flasher
You will see search for Xbox click it you should see you Xbox ip address appear in the space above
You will also see banks to flash and the banks will appear.

4.    Now we will connect are xbox to are pc using remote flasher and ed@chip
We are now going to use a tutorial but tipepsiman to use are explore to connect to our xbox but first we must run ed@chip look to the right on smartxx flasher you will see ed@chip click it now you will see run ed@chip now since I am writing this to help others since I went through trials to figure this out I am not sure if you can just hit run original ed@chip
So try it first if you connect cool if not go below to run custom ed@chip click open and find the ed@chip we downloaded above click then click run custom ed@chip1 you should see the Linux pingun on you TV screen and your xbox lights flashing yellow.

[size=medium] Now follow this tut by tpepsiman[/size] IF YOU DON’T SEE THE ADDRESS BAR GO TO TOOLS AT THE TOP GO TO VIEW THEN TOOLBARS AND MAKE SURE ADDRESS BAR IS CHECKED ONCE YOU SEE YOUR XBOX FOLDERS COPY THEM TO YOUR PC AND BURN TO DISK FOR SAFE KEEPING NOW RESTART YOU XBOX IN THE SMARTXX DASHBOARD AND FOLLOW STEP 3 AGAIN THEN GO TO STEP 5 HERE’S TUTORIAL ONCE YOUR DONE FOLLOW STEPS BELOW WHILE YOU ARE AT THE SITE PLEASE JOIN AND GIVE USE YOUR SUPPORT

        5.  At this time upload the bios you are choosing to flash use xbins or torrent. Maybe easy for some I used isohunt and type in info to find don’t ask no one will tell you it’s one of those things if ya know what I mean. Here’s a nice xbins tutorial  if you not familiar with it http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/xbins.php   I downloaded the  AID auto installer deluxe 4.01 unzipped it opened the bios folder and used one of the bios that was in there : warning make sure you are flashing the correct bios for you xbox 1.6 bios on a 1.1-1.5  is a definite no and 1.1-1.5 on a 1.6 as well  this is what I have read keep the AID auto installer deluxe 4.01 you can burn it and use it to  install it on your xbox it's awesome there is a undated 4.02 available if you like

Steps I did I used 256k bios (x2.4983.06) located in the AID auto installer deluxe4.01
Unzip once downloaded look for bios folder will see 256k open look for bios above drag to desktop or remember where you put it we will need it next
MY XBOX IS A 1.1 REMEMBER 1.1 TO 1.5 SHOULD NOT BE FLASHED WITH A 1.6 BIOS AND A 1.6 SHOULD NOT BE FLASHED WITH A 1.1 TO 1.5 BIOS
6.    NOW THAT WE HAVE THE CORRECT BIOS FOR ARE VERSION XBOX
Now look at smartxx flasher see where it say load bios click and choose the bios we just obtained
Now remember we have the auto flasher running our xbox on and our ip address and banks showing select a bank you want to flash click on bank now flash bios

DO NOT TURN OF PC OR XBOX AT THIS TIME IF YOU ARE AWAY FROM YOUR XBOX LIKE I AM IN ANOTHER ROOM MAKE SURE YOUR KIDS OR OTHERS DISTURB IT WHILE IT IS FLASHING IF YOU LIKE YOU CAN VIEW THE BAR ACROSS TV SCREEN 

color=blue]7.    ONCE FLASHING IS COMPLETE MAKE SURE CHECK YOU TV SCREEN SHOWS THE BIOS YOU FLASHED IN YOU BANKS [/color]   Now grab your Xbox controller and move to new bios and click it Xbox should restart and show you new dashboard and options. At this point you can stop or take the AID auto installer Deluxe4.01 we got are bios from and open pdf file this contains tutorial for softmod and modchip there are 2 files find the one you need it will show you how to install and how  to burn to DVD or cd  you will need DVD dycrepter I used image burn to make DVD once done insert in Xbox if you have turned your Xbox off restart and go into your new bios if you have not turned it off  continue  click load DVD in your new bios and you on your way
