Encode360 v2.0 beta7
Encode360
Encode360 is an application which will convert virtually any video format to high quality WMV’s which can be played by the X-Box 360 or the Microsoft Zune device.
It has some great features including:
* Uses Windows Media Encoder as a base, so it’ll create 100% Microsoft compliant WMV’s
* Automatic re-scaling of video sizes to match your TV resolution or Zune screen. This prevents nasty stretching and artifacts
* Encode as WMV8, WMV9 or ultra high quality WVC1
* Encode with CBR (1 or 2 pass), Quality based VBR, Peak based VBR or Bitrate based VBR
* Predefined bitrate options to best match your output device and network connection
* Folder monitoring mode - great for automatically encoding your freshly downloaded torrents
* Postview, so you can quickly see the quality of your encode, or if subtitles are being encoded correctly
* And lots more that I forget right now!!!

That's a nice little program there, and does just want you'd want it too. This is posted in the wrong section, so I'll move it to where it belongs.

Mine errors out when I run it, I get:
Encode360 2.0 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience, bla bla.
YEs, I have frameworl 2.0, it won't install without THAT installed...
The error is "system.invalidoperationexception"
Oh well, guess I won't be running that, and Tversity just isn't cutting it....

I had to instal .NET Framework 2.0, after which it still gave me an error. I read on the site that it detects if your computer doesn't have Media Encoder 9 and it will tell you that, which my computer didn't have. So I went and downloaded Media Encoder 9, installed it, and reinstalled Encode360 and had no problem. Although converting 21 movies takes for ever, but the speed itself isn't too bad. A 700 meg file only takes about 25-40 minutes, which is much faster than some other programs.
