just thought yous would like to no

you no where too look so go get it and update

i would say tho only update it you have problems with the firmware you have now

actually, c4e said he had been tipped of the m$ can tell if u are playing back-ups online which is why he has decided to release this now, so to me that is a good enough reason to update lol

Well, since (obviously) nobody knows what the next Xbox Live Update is going to entail, we shouldn't start getting in over our heads and panicking about backup detection.

That news bit is really all that we can go by.

However, in the event that the next update DOES include backup detection, commodore4eva is one step ahead - Xtreme53 makes it so that your drive reports itself as a Hitachi 79.

That is what I read also... It doesn't say anything about the Hitachi drives though... The new DASH update for this month is supposed to be able to detect backups, which is why the firmware was made. There is a big article on Xbox Scene about it.
