Im getting disc read errors and i think adjusting the laser pod will fix this....

Never done it before, whats the easiest & safest way to do this???

That would be "pot" as in potentiometerm a.k.a. variable resistor or varistor.

If there is an adjustment, you will to take the drive apart, and look at the lens assembly. There should be a small adjust POT on it. You will need the eyeglass screw driver set to adjust the intensity of the laser. This works sometimes, and sometimes it does not.
