59DJ as 59B in 2.2 Stealth ?
Had a 59DJ today, nothing new but max-gary2.2 upon detection identified it as a 59B. Thought to myself "what the hell" and let it continue. NOT a good move, 2-3 failures during flash although it said it was done, and end result was the 360 couldnt recognise anything including originals.... After a short period of swearing I restored the drive, that went fine "PHEW!" and decided to try 2.1 which is what I had been using on the 59DJ prior to the update....
It worked fine ( I had already edited the flash21.bat to fix 59's BTW), origs, backups, DVD's all more than happy with 111D/ Verb cut backups.
Soooo anyone else encountered this ? and have a workaround for 2.2 ?, was using Xecuter 1.2 Kit for Mode B and XP Pro as OS.

Hi there i had the same drive and i used the 2.3 fimware and everthing went ok it dumped fine and flashed ok i read somewhere that the 59DJ has some extra sectors which were fixed in the 2.3 hope this helps took me a while to find so thought i would help others. Thanks
The 2.3 is Stealth firmware and has the latest detection for discs.Also it loads backups faster as i did a friends with the 2.2 on a 49 and the 59DJ boots a hell of a lot faster and is quiter.
