A Microsoft job listing reveals that the company is looking for staff to design a new Xbox 360 motherboard. From the looks of it, the new “Motherboard Design Engineer” will be helping to design further revisions of the existing Xbox 360 architecture, rather than the hardware for a next-next-generation system. Really? Some of the “Qualifications” do not apply to the XB360. “The responsibilities of this position are focused on specifying, designing (schematic capture, PCB layout, BOM, cost analysis), implementing and verifying the mother-board and other various sub-system boards that make up the Xbox 360 product line,” the job description reads.
What do you think? Doesn’t look right with some of the Qualifications they’re asking for. Looks like they’re recruiting for a new console under the XB360 premise.
Maybe they’re thinking of slimming it down?
Get rid of those USB ports, memory card slots and make the hard drive completely internal. You know, a real “Arcade” model.

the graphics on xb360 suck compared to ps3, ps3′s graphics are off the hook still better than top of the line pc graphics.
No, they don’t actually. it has been proven, time and time again the XB360 graphics are slightly better. This is due to the 10MB embedded EDRAM in the GPU. You can keep the frame buffer here, without using main memory. XB360 also has the unified memory architecture, and better CPU Cache. PS3 has limited its graphic memory to 256MB, and no embedded memory, and no CPU cache; they are called Local Stores, and do not work the same. PS3 has the better optical drive, that’s about it.
HOWEVER, there are exceptions to the graphics, like with the new Final Fantasy. Due to heavy compression techniques, the XB360 loses a lot of detail in the graphics for this particular game. When viewed side by side, you can see the slight differences in motion detail, and after effects. M$ also cheated with the resolution for this game, at 567p, up-converted, -vs- the PS3 version true 720p format.
So, you can say mine is better than yours all you want, well there are more XB360s out there than PS3s, so people would agree the XB360 is slightly better.
The graphics CANNOT be better on the PS3 when 85+% of the games are PORTED to it.

wow. istead of just sayin ps3 blows and xbox rocks your socks, why rant? maybe he has a 3d tv that isnt even out yet that his ps3 is hooked up to, and went to his homeboys house in africa and played a 3 6(because they’re cheap as f#%k) on a shitty tube tv.. personally, i have both. play them both.dont favor one more than the other. this is like some 2pac and biggy shit. cant we all just get along?
ps- i have modded 36 and a non modded 36(again, they’re cheap as f#%k)and can play games i dont go online with.. if and when the ps3 gets hacked; im still buying games for the ps3.. so ive probably paid more for ps3.. its all about $$$ to them, not graphichs and cpu caches and shit… xboxs sell for less, ps3 games you have to buy atm.. theres no real winner… just losers…all of us buyin shit lol
