October 30, 2009iXtreme v1.61 FW for Samsung and BenQ Drives

A new version (v1.61) of the iXtreme DVD Firmware for both Samsung and BenQ DVD drives has been released. A Lite-on version is still in development and will be released later (NO ETA).
These were released without any type of readme or NFO, but early user reports claim they work fine like v1.6 with added support for ‘Wave 4′ discs.
Is it me being a being a bit thick or just over cautious but a firmware with no nfo but boots wave 4 i would be thinking is this just a spotty git in a room somewhere who has rebadged an old firmware as 1.61 just to say he was first to crack it. Or is it microsoft who relesed it and then the ban hammer starts.
Im holding out on this until we know if this actually does a video partition check and doesn’t just ignore it like 1.51
Updated, they released the nfo/readme file, so all is well so far…there are rumors as to a banhammer going around (not particularly for this) so as always, be cautious.

like the others im going 2 wait until i hear more on this…not because i dont trust it….but because i have 2 find my chipset card….lol
I think its official because Jungle flasher has implemented it!
