IT was said that an update for the product will be released shortly to enable the device once again!
“Due to recent actions by Microsoft, there is a possibility that these memory units will not fully function after the upcoming Microsoft Dashboard update.
Datel are aware of the changes that are required to remedy this problem and will shortly release a solution in readiness for this potential update. This will be made available to you and your retail / domestic customers shortly. In the meantime if you are holding any stock of this product you can, if you wish, return this to us and we will exchange / replace with new updated versions in readiness for the Microsoft Dashboard release.”
thats cool of them… if they exchange it for free.
however even if they were cool enough to do it for free, seems like there gonna take a pretty big loss. unless they just need to swap a chip or flash a new fw to the memory unit.
So, Datel fix their Memory units, and M$ will put an update later again.
The only way for Datel is to go Licensed,
that shouldn’t be so much of a trouble, remember MADCATZ has high quality licensed products for 360, and with real fair prices.
the only problem I see there, is that Datel Memories couldn’t hold regular flash cards, as it is truly a way to do weird stuff with the data.
NO ONE is licensed to make Memory Cards for the XB360. As you can see, there are no 3rd party Hard Drives either, or other 3rd party memory cards.
Datel XB360 Memory cards use MicroSD as its storage medium. So, they DO hold regular memory cards, but only MicroSD.
Datel said they are working on a fix.
