Microsoft has reportedly, initiated a new ban wave. Right now there is not lot of details, or information, but if you have a modified DVD firmware we suggest you stay off LIVE, for now.
Its caused by Call of Duty:World At War rip by Allstars not stealthed properly just download the patch.
Not 100% correct, because one person said they were playing Halo III when banned. It is a mixture of improperly stealthed games, and leaked content. They do this just about ONCE ever year, no one see this coming? I didn’t say anything because no one cared before. So I just figured I will just sit back and let everyone get banned without a warning. Last year, it was September bans. Then was fine till about another year later? They gather TONS of information over live from BAN to BAN, and apply them when they see fit.
Other people said they played GoW2 and COD:WaW, RETAIL versions, and were banned. They always do this on MAJOR RELEASE TITLES, just like COD4 last year, yet you/they still get surprised when ya banned with another MAJOR title release. No one sees this coming? How can I be the only one that does?

How many times? Well, just once here, how many are you counting? I hope you have basic math skills… Yeah, too bad that more than 47 percent of the worlds population has below average smarts, else they would be able to SEE a pattern. The ban hammer is justice…
what patch where can i find it any clues toby
remember Halo 3 was released in September? just a thought on why the bans were in September. and toby should i wait for a new COD5 rip that doesnt say allstar?
IT is NOT COD5! IT is COD:WaW, the second title for consoles NOT to have a number in the TITLE. COD5 will be released LATER, you can bank on it.
There is supposed to be a PATCH for that allstar version.
It does not matter what game you play, how stealth it is, or how you modded your xbox. Microsoft will always know. They ban randomly. Most of the people banned have been playing on LIVE for some time, so MS knows they will buy xbox again. There is no safe way to play backups online. If you think you are undetected, think again.
ok but lets say i mod my xbox. can I still play games i bought online without having to worry about the banhammer?

i dont think that M$ can know everything somehow i’d feel like they would be invading my privacy for example if i have a naked girl as my wallpaper then M$ could see it (by gather data through the ethernet cable) they could just take it and post it on the web somehow that seems impossible to me (my oppinion)
No not really. All MS can see is your kernel version, your DVD firmware version (which is spoofed if modded) and it can gather data blocks from game discs in order to try to detect backups. Now what they’ve done this time around to detect modded consoles is beyond me, but I’m sure someone will figure it out and fix it in the next iExtreme update.

Yea there is a way. But you have to have a console that’s not banned that you can sacrafice and it involves desoldering a 40 pin chip from the console that’s not banned and resoldering it to your banned console. If you don’t have the right equipment you’ll just wind up destroying your console.
And actually there may be a way they are detecting modded consoles. They probably look at who dissapears off live during a ban wave and then comes right back after the wave is supposedly over. :P

Well, im on 1.41 BenQ and i havent been banned, but i also installed the leaked NXE Update yesturday,a nd havent been online in like 3 days, but i wont get on until it’s safe, this sucks alot. Remember you can always buy a arcade console. 200 dollars for new.
So when will it be safe to come back on?
