The title says it all really…
K-Mart has not dropped their price from 199.99 since the 179.99 price drop. The one where I live is still selling them for $199.99, and that’s probably why they can’t sell them.
You can get a 1080i HD-DVD Set-Top player for $149.99 (HD A3), 1080p for $199.99 (I got my HD A30 [1080p] for $159.99).

right on! go gets one! oh yeah and 1st by the way! lol
That add-on is a waste of money because HD-DVD is losing the format war!
I’m Stoned, YAY!
HD-DVD is dead.
Blue ray has won.
That’s why the are now dropping the price.
This was also announced on TV yesterday, how HD-DVD is sliding down. This was on one of those stock market channels. They said Besy Buy will be reallocating space for more Blu-Ray hardware and items.
NetFlix and Best Buy go Blu (kinda) and Amazon slashes HD DVD Prices: Best Buy, the largest US consumer electronics chain, said it will recommend that consumers choose the Sony high-definition video format and will feature Blu-ray hardware and software promotions in all its stores. “Because we believe that Blu-ray is fast emerging as that single format, we have decided to focus on Blu-ray products,” Brian Dunn, Best Buy’s president and chief operating officer, said in a statement.
Netflix, which is the country’s largest online DVD rental service said it will stock high-def movies exclusively in Blu-ray.
Netflix has been stocking high-definition movies in both formats since early 2006, but said in a statement that all of its new high-definition movie purchases will be Blu-ray and that it will phase out HD DVD discs by the end of the year.
