I too had this game well before launch. It is good but not waite in line for hours good. I do think though that most of the people that were in line to get it, wanted to play it that night/morning. I don’t think there was any one that thought for a second that they would not be able to get a copy. For the next couple weeks you will not be able to throw a stone in the gaming world without runnin’ in to Halo 3

I sat and waited for around 7 hours for my legendary edition. I ended up being the first in line by around 15 minutes. It was quite nice to be the first one in/out of the store out of the 200+ people there.
I’m just glad I wasn’t the one who got beat up for his copy…..

Oh and people at wallmart are usually pretty thick headed and like 90% will wait outside. The local wallmart here had about 100 people inline for the ps3. I went inside and found the real line with only six people waiting.

Games like Halo don’t hit gamestop for several weeks. Hell I hate the game but I’m keeping it just for xbox live.

i wouldnt wait for any game lol thats really lame i got better things to do like sleep il wait for a pre owned copy to hit GAME in a day or so :D

This is funny, I went to walmart around 11:55pm. I saw a fat line outside, I walked inside. And saw a line,So i asked a Employee, “is this the halo 3 line” he was like yeah. So i just stood in that line for 10mins. And recieved my halo 3 and a Limited Dog tag. PWN!, I went outside i was like, Why yall waiting for halo 3 outside? They thought I was stupid. But hey, went well for me Got the game got the tag:)

I waited outside my local GS at about 8. My buddy and I were the first there for about 30minutes. It was worth the 4hour wait. It was also cool cause some guy brought a football and we played 4on4 2hand touch to pass the time. Oh, BTW, they ONLY had 6 extra copies.

I borrowed one early on Saturday and beat it on Sunday on normal. Great finish to the story…I waited at Gamestop from 9 to midnight and they had a Halo 2 tournament and a raffle so it really was a lot of fun to go to a release party for it. I got the Legendary Edition and it comes with the same game and bonus disc as the Collector’s Edition except there’s a second bonus disc in the Legendary, which contains all the cinematics from Halo and Halo 2-and that is so worth it…

Word I was shopping last night and there were lines everywhere. Thanks to torrents I had my game 4 days earlier. I just laughed when they kept asking how I had it already. Oh yeah free mind you. haha…..

Lol, i geuss M$/Bungi didnt want to have people get frustrated and not be able to get it, and i think they also wanted to suck as much money out of it on the release date…when it is most expensive.

:P i wonder what the total copy production was lol
