Microsoft has confirmed that it has no immediate plans to include Wi-Fi in the Xbox 360 console even though it continues to push its online gaming service. “It’s down to cost” a spokesperson for the gaming division said before suggesting gamers can spend an additional $79.99 (£60) for the Wi-Fi dongle if they want wireless connectivity.
“We currently include an Ethernet cable and 1 month’s free subscription to the Xbox Live service. We don’t want people not interested in wireless connectivity having to pay for a technology they don’t want.”
We don’t need a usb wifi kit..we need an integrated wifi card..is it possible for you, mr. GATES?
60 quid?! wtf! 4 times the price of PC hardware… sounds like M$!
Since the 360 is by microsoft why cant they incorperate usb dongle drivers in an update so you can use any wifi dongle usb as a 360 wifi device, this shouldn’t be hard as M$ has done so in for xp and vista why not 360.
There are USB WiFi adapters made for XB360 already. This article is about an INTERNAL WiFi adapter, that they aren’t gonna do. You can also use just about any wireless bridge, and ones configured by a PC as well.
hey, i bought a new xbox 360 and i wanna know which is the firmware that its out to modded againg because i got banned from my old xbox 360.
You have to look at the DVD drive to get the firmware. GO to the forums and look at some of the information there.
