September 21, 2007Greenberg Says Current Xbox 360s Are ‘Improved’

Though all evidence would point otherwise, the Xbox Group Marketing Manager Aaron Greenberg on kotaku.com says:
We have made all the improvements in our manufacturing process… All the consoles on the market have those improvements…. [We will] repair the console sent to us with these improvements. It should be similar to buying a new console off the shelf.
Then how come people getting these improvements are still getting failures? Why is it a Halo III edition failed right out of the box, and one after ten minutes? I don’t think it is the manufacturing process, because if you use bad equipment, then the process is not at fault. What is at fault is the high heat output from components inside the unit, not the fault of robotic arm that places them on the motherboard to be wave-soldered.
With a 33% initial failure rate (totally unacceptable even by RADIO SHACK standards), they need to be more careful about what they say, because it is not much better than it was before.

Radio Shack… Hahaha, they aint too bad if you’re poor (like me). I WANT AN XBOX360 but they seem to suck @ overheating, I bet this is resolved in 2008, then I’ll get 1 & pimp it out! Until that it’s all Wii & PSP for me. F**k PS3… - piece of s**t hahahahaha…. ;)
PS3’s are good if you have a 1080p tv. I have one, with some dust on it, that i occasionally use as a bluray player when i want to watch the matrix. I have a dead xbox 360 that i now see can be fixed for free since they extended the warranty to 3 years or something. Thinking about getting a elite so that while one is away, the other can be played.
lmao. thats what you get with a microshit console.
