“Halo” and “Halo 2” have sold more than 14.8 million copies worldwide (Xbox and PC versions). It’s expected that by the end of the year fans will have spent more than $1 billion on the “Halo” franchise.
The “Halo 2” release on Nov. 9, 2004, set entertainment history by generating $125 million in U.S. sales in its first 24 hours. The launch of “Halo 3” on Sept. 25, 2007, is expected to once again set entertainment sales records by selling more in the U.S. in one day, than any movie in history (the current record held by “Spider-Man 3” at $151 million), and selling more in its first week than any album.
“Halo 3” is the most anticipated game in video game history, and pre-sell numbers showcase the excitement, reaching 1 million in the United States alone in late July, two months before the launch. The Legendary “limited” edition has sold-out in Japan on just the preorders.
Participants in the multiplayer beta logged more than 12 million hours of online gameplay. That’s the equivalent of 1,400 years of continuous play by a single person. They downloaded more than 350 terabytes of data, equivalent to more than 82 million digital song downloads with an average size of 4 MB.
Of the 7 million members on Xbox LIVE, the largest social network on TV, more than 5.5 million have played “Halo 2.”
Nearly three years after the release of “Halo 2,” more than 300,000 unique gamers continue to log on to Xbox LIVE every day to play it.

So What?.
I like Halo but no need for this info.
Tell us something useful like the day we are gonna be able to run XBMC on the 360.
There is need for NEWS, and that is NEWS and TRIVIA.
If you would BOTHER to look, there is a separate HACKING news section, did you see it? It is at the LEFT LOOK!
# Home
# Forums
# Xbox360 News
# Xbox360 Hacks Duh!
The fourth one down, wow, how neat huh? Anyhow, no need to be PETTY. This is the HOME PAGE, not the HACKS SECTION of the home page, so it will be posted here. If you don’t like it, then don’t read it.
When will 360 run Xbox Media Center? Umm, NEVER… XBMC is for the XB1, and won’t run on the 360. So, you would need XB360MC…
Thats what i meant XB360MC.
Halo on pc is better than on a console.
Well, if you wait for news to be posted strictly on that note, there won’t be any news. Besides, XB360 supports a good bit of the XBox’s XBMC streamang functions with their Media Center, just that all the codecs we use, like DivX and XviD, are not supported. I think if those Codecs were added to the system, there would be less complaints about its media center.
I will have to agree with you on that, but the old xbmc on the xbox1 is amazing, It is the most used console in my household, and i happen to have all the latest consoles and the xbox1 is by far the best
I still have THREE modded XB1s. My 250GB is in the livingroom, and all I use that for is MEdia streaming. I got tons of Howard Stern videos on it too, that I record. I watch them on the Xbox. Very nice entertainment piece. The XB1 is one of the best items for digital entertainment, and I use it.
I have a 500gb Xbox1, which i use for everything, I mean If you Download a movie you can get all the info for that movie aswell as ratings which is god damn useful. I mean It saved me from watching da vinchi code movie which was crap.
FPS games suck on control pads, so many PC FPS games own Halo… Deus Ex is better & that’s old.
Halo = shallow.
When you grew up using the control pad, rather than the KB and MOUSE, it’s as easy for us on the control pads, as it is for you with the KB and MOUSE.
Analog aiming = slow & inaccurate ;)
It’s fine for me, I have no problems with it. Whatever you like, you like. I used to use the KB and MOUSE with PC games, and I hated it.
