Hitachi DVD-ROM owners, rejoice! Today is your day; grab a beer, kick back, relax, and enjoy another fine release from Commodore4Eva. That’s of course after you successfully flash your Xbox 360 drive with Xtreme Firmware 2.4 Stealth.
Similar to the previous C4EVA Xtreme firmware release (for the Toshiba-Samsung drives), 2.4 Stealth adds Disc-Jitter for challenge types 5/7 to all Hitachi firmwares.
Always recommended: Restore first — if your drive is flashed. Also recommended: thoroughly read the included “README.txt” for everything you need to know with respect to flashing, restoring, and using Xtreme Firmware.
This release is reportedly compatible with all Hitachi-LG GDR-3120-L versions.

Hi, Had my Hitachi 360 for a year now, so time for a firmware flash, could anyone tell me if it is a hard task and if it will break live,

no it is not difficult,there are several tutorials avaliable everywhere on the internet.
i don’t know what do you mean by breaking live but you can play games online
what is the deal… play single layer or not?

2.4 firmware will not allow single layer games .. single layer may arrive in the future for the hitachi drives (I sure hope it does)
