Today Commodore4Eva has released a new version of his Xtreme Firmware for the Xbox 360 Toshiba-Samsung (TS-H943) drive.
Xtreme Firmware 5.3 changes:
- Disc-Jitter added for Challenge Types 5/7 to avoid possible replay detection.
- Support added for DVD drive to Report as Hitachi 79
Disc-Jitter is slight randomization added to the result of Challenge types 5 and 7 so as to emulate a result from an actual physical drive.
This is to avoid any possible replay detection.

i have updated and can confirm that .52 extreme works perfect online and offline, also hitachi works fine as confirmed by tpepsiman
so what are the firmware’s that dont work online anyone know help…
i have done the dash update and have found no problems with booting backups.
i have an hittachi 46d in one of my 360 and 47d on the other and both are fine so i do not see any need for this firmware for samsungs.
hi there, just flashed with 53B and original discs are not detected. Anyone got any ideas? not had chance to try and copied disc because not got one burnt yet…
dude original disks should boot ok it sounds like something has gone wrong.
using maxiums tool box open the backup of your original firmware and in the box were it say key copy and paste the key 2 a txt file.
then import the firmware you have flashed onto your drive and copy the key from the txt file you made and flash that back to your drive.
if that does not work flash your old firmware back test it then flash an older version of this firmware.

lol something went wrong ok, my brain stopped working, after i did the flashing it might help if i plugged the 360’s sata cable back in lol, worked a treat other wise :) pillock award to me. thanks for your reply castertroy

I have an Hitachi 47d drive and my 360 is still running fine after the update.
Who has a hitachi and does it wrk fine after the update sombody let me know asap
the guy above you just said he does and it works fine, also it is confirmed that all hacked drives that worked before the update still work perfectly online and offline afterwards
hey, im new to these 360 updates, so this update will help me play backups on 360? i have a toshiba-samsung drive?
sorry to tell you this people but if you have downloaded this firmware and used xbox live you will or will be banned. i turned my console on today to find i had been banned and after visiting xbox-scene i find im not the only one. so looks like we are all in the s**t. (im just glad i was on the free trial and didnt pay for a year)
play in xbox live????????
