Commodore4Eva has released Xtreme Firmware 5.1 for Xbox360 TS-H943 drives. It appears to be primarily a bug fix release with the exception of 5.1C and D being added; as per the changelog:
- Open Tray errors fixed (PFI and SS read routines updated)
- 5.1c (Dual speed, default fast) and 5.1d (Dual speed default quiet\slow) read speed (Originals unaffected). Both toggle with original Xbox1/360 disc
- Xbox1 DDE errors caused by firmware, patched
- Possible Xbox1/360 DDE errors caused by firmware, patched
- Single Layer DVD disc support(+/-RW) for both Xbox1 and 360
- New easier batch file “Make Xtreme firmware.cmd” to make all firmwares.
Once again, this is the first Xbox 360 firmware modification that does it all — Single Layer, FirmGuard, Multi Speed, Media Stealth, One Firmware, backup and extraction! Tremendous job Commodore4Eva!

well now what is the dual speed on .c and .d
im confused now will someone explain the difference between the a b c and d>?

read speed option:
a (fast always)
b (slow always)
c (Dual speed, default fast)
d (Dual speed default quiet/slow)
so clearly the best one is c for the verbatims

this firmware works perfect. the reason for a , b ,c ,d is that A is (fast boot) B is (slow boot) and C an D is the same as the other 2 but can be switched on and off with a original game so u can choose if u want it to run fast or slow so its handy if your discs get a bit scratched or you try new media then u can try to boot game slow
i realy wanna know becouse i got a 360 but im never did something with it like modding or something like that but whats the bennefit of modding your 360 ?
can you play games that you have downloaded ?
