This news was posted a few days ago on Team underdOg’s site —
Fasten your seatbelts because we are ready to launch the incredible NME v1.2 Modchip in a few days. The most important spec is that it’s just one chip for all drives now supporting ALL Samsung and ALL Hitachi drives, even the new 78 ones. We found that there are some different Hitachi 78 drives in the market and so it took a lot of work and time to implement them all.
The new features are:
- one chip for all drives
- optional disables the wireless network usb adapter
- optional enables network when playing linkgames
- new improved and very stable media detection
- now working with pioneer 111d and hitachi drives flawlessly
- 100% Firmware Stealth, when MS tries to read the Firmware then it replies as 100% original unmodified
Great news for Hitachi v78 owners!
And in other news from Team underdOg is a fresh version of their “NME aSSociat0r.” You can fetch that here.

interesting news
So if microsoft “scans” ur firmware, the chip reports the firmware as original? does this mean that this will permanantly work on live, or will a m$ dash update mean u have to update the chip/software
For the millionth friggin time, can someone please post some info on a REAL modchip. I mean has anybody even started working on it? I could care less about a modchip that does what a flash job will do plus 50 bucks and soldering. PLEASE! SOMEONE!!! I know you people can find the info because I have tried and I CAN’T!!
I want HOMEBREW! XBMC360!! F***!!
if the guys at team underdog are reading this first of all thanks for putting the time and money into developing these mod chips ( i am an electronics engineer myself so i have a good idea how you must have sweated blood 2 pull this off. but could you please find a uk reseller like http://www.mrmodchips.co.uk or http://www.modchip-store.co.uk both of which are leading site when it comes to modding in the uk.
because one of the problems is getting hold of these chips in the uk.
#4 we need to find out how the xbox backward compatibility emulator works and use it to load homebrew, somewhat tricking the xbox360 into thinking its loading an xbox game
my head hurts!!
#6 No doubt, no doubt! But I want more, I want full kernal access to it so that folks can start writing powerful emulators for it! Think ps2, gamecube, psp, etc!! And dope homebrew, and of course, XBMC360!! PLEASE, WHOEVER IT IS THAT RUNS THIS SITE, ADDRESS THIS!!
I have no faith in team underdog, I ordered the last nme chip from US, Installed it and it has never worked, even when i followed their complicated burning proccess to the letter. they also have non intention of answering emails regarding the problems.
