I tried this last night (after taking about a week to find a damn DVD drive to upgrade). It works great. Much easier than using the 360 drive (stops me havinf to dismantle the 360 anyway).

Can also confirm that I used this and Schtrom360XtractV2.1 to back up my
Hitman Blood money game with no issues. Schtrom360XtractV2.1 does give an
error about SS.bin not being extracted (confirmed by Kreon this is just
cause 2.1 does not recognise 0.8 version) but if you ignore this and
continue with the backup and then use CloneCD it works with no problems at
all.
