The Xtreme Firmware is now available for all 46D & 47D Hitachi-LG DVD-ROM owners, courtesy of Commodore4eva. Xbox360 drives using FW 59 can expect a working release in the near future.
geebee has updated his tutorial [v31] to reflect the latest release; fetch both the firmware and tutorial below.

can someone tell me if games backed up with wxripper will work with hitachi because i know you can’t backup games using the hitachi drive.

This is good news, but does this allow me run my backed up games if I have updated my dashbord firmware through Xbox Live? I updated my Xbox and I dont know if this will work now? Anyone tried it?

we will be able to use live in the future is there anyway m% geeks can update the console for this to stop working??, i dont wanna risk my xbox for a few weeks or so
