Rumours have been floating around the net saying that many Xbox 360 titles are region free. Has anyone tried this out yet?
The supposed region-free titles discovered include Call of Duty 2, Condemned: Criminal Origins, Gun and Tony Hawk: American Wasteland, suggesting that the console’s stance on region locking is the same as on the original Xbox, leaving the decision up to the publisher.
What does region free mean?
Region free means you can play NTSC games on Pal consoles and vice versa.. which is pretty slick ofcourse
Yes, it is very true, I have a Japanese Xbox and it plays alot of the launch titles, and alot of japanese games when the xbox 360 is set up for english, will play in english.
Region free, not a chance. I have a european version of the xbox 360, and when i got some games in America and tried to play them only one worked!!.
Capcom have made all thier games region free and Hitman blood money is region free. Not sure about any others.
